How to configure your availability windows in Gnomik

One of the first questions Gnomik asks during setup is when do you work? This isn't just small talk — your working schedule is exactly how Gnomik knows which time slots to offer clients and when to turn them away.

This article explains how it works and how to set up your schedule so it reflects your real life.

What are "availability windows"?

Availability windows are simply your working hours: the days of the week and times when you're in principle open to seeing clients.

For example:

  • Monday, Wednesday, Friday — 10:00 to 14:00
  • Tuesday and Thursday — 16:00 to 20:00
  • Saturday and Sunday — days off

Gnomik memorises this template and only offers clients free slots within these windows. Busy events in Google Calendar are automatically excluded — no double-bookings.

How to open the schedule settings

In your chat with Gnomik, tap the "📅 Configure schedule" button — a mini app will open right inside Telegram. No external websites or extra logins required.

What you can configure

Working days

All seven days of the week — Monday through Sunday. Each day can be toggled on or off with a single tap. Days that are off are treated as days off by Gnomik and won't be offered to clients.

Working hours

For each active day you can set one or more time slots. For example, a morning block from 9:00 to 13:00 and a separate evening block from 18:00 to 21:00 — useful if you work split shifts or take a long midday break.

Quick copy

If most of your days follow the same pattern, use the "Copy to weekdays" button: Gnomik will apply Monday's schedule to all weekdays from Tuesday through Friday. You can then fine-tune individual days as needed.

Blocking calendars

Beyond your weekly template, Gnomik can block time based on events from your Google Calendars. This is handy if you have multiple calendars — for example, a separate one for personal appointments or another project.

Add the relevant calendar to the blocking list and Gnomik will factor its events into free-slot calculations. No manual blocking needed: just add an event to that calendar and the time is automatically marked as busy.

Saving

Once you're done editing, tap "Save" at the bottom of the screen. The mini app closes and Gnomik remembers everything. All new bookings will immediately use the updated schedule.

You can change your schedule at any time — just open the settings again and make your edits. Existing meetings already in Google Calendar are not affected.

Frequently asked questions

What if I work irregular hours?
The template only defines "potentially available" time. If you're not working a particular Wednesday, just block that day in Google Calendar — add a "Busy" or "Out of office" event and Gnomik won't offer it to clients.

Can I set different slots for each day?
Yes. Each day is edited independently: you can set a different number of time slots and different hours for every day of the week.

What happens if I don't configure a schedule?
By default Gnomik assumes you work Monday–Friday from 10:00 to 18:00. That's a reasonable starting point, but it's worth setting your real schedule right away — otherwise clients may see slots that don't actually work for you.

Setup takes just a couple of minutes — and after that Gnomik has everything it needs to book clients into times that actually suit you.
